About The Area
North Raleigh is the area north of the I-440 beltline where home sites are larger, tall trees abound and gently-rolling hills invite play. It is in close proximity to downtown Raleigh which houses three major state museums – art, natural sciences and history (all free) and Marbles Kids Museum. The founding fathers named Raleigh "The City of Oaks" and dedicated themselves to maintaining the area's wooded tracts and grassy parks. They would be proud to know that their vision continues as North Carolina's capital city boasts 900 acres of parks, 1300 acres of water for fishing, boating and swimming, and a greenway system that spans 152 miles. North Raleigh is close to or as far away as you want to be: convenient and public, yet comfortable and private.
