Our favorite Triangle Holiday Traditions

The Robuck Design Build team is thrilled the holiday season is finally here. We’ve pulled together some of our favorite Triangle Christmas activities in hopes that you and your family will enjoy some of the area’s most fun events to get you in the holiday spirit!

The WRAL Tower Lighting

On Dec. 1, the WRAL tower on Western Boulevard lights up! A holiday tradition for almost six decades, the 300-foot transmission tower outside the WRAL-TV studio is lit with 2,800 multi-colored lights, transforming the tower into a giant Christmas tree.

The Wake Forest Christmas Historic Home Tour

The Wake Forest Historic Preservation Commission and the Wake Forest Woman's Club will present their biennial Christmas Historic Home Tour on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 1-7 p.m. - rain or shine!

Offered only in even-numbered years, the Christmas Historic Home Tour is a self-guided tour featuring several Wake Forest homes and other properties decorated for the holidays and open for viewing. This year's event will also offer holiday music.

Christmas Light Displays

There are some pretty amazing neighborhood lights in the Raleigh area, some even set to music. Here’s a map of some of the not-to-miss home displays.

And don’t miss others like the Chinese Light festival at Koka Booth in Cary, NC, Lake Myra Christmas Lights  in Wendell, NC, Hill Ridge Farms, Piper's Lights and Lights on the Neuse!

Holiday Shows

The Triangle offers so many holiday performances, from the Nutcracker to the children friendly shows like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Cinderella to a Christmas Carol, there’s something for everyone.

If your holiday dreams include a new custom home, head on over to Robuck Design Build for more information!
